Rotary
Rotary Parlors are labor efficient, for dairies requiring a high cow throughput per hour. Every 10 to 12 seconds a cow steps on a platform and while rotating, are being milked. Cow movements are largely automated and milking procedures are more consistent and efficient. Rotary parlors typically require three operators: one for unit attachment, one to detach the units and apply post milking teat dip, and one to tend to any problems occurring while cows are traveling around.
