MPC milk point controller is a software management program that interacts with the readers in the milking parlor. The function of the MPC is to collect data from the readers and give commands to the readers on an individual cow base. For instance, if you have a MSIDS reader, you can program in the MPC which of the 5 milk programs you want to apply to that cow. Another command function is the milk stop in which you program in the MPC that a particular cow can not be milked for a certain time period. This is very valuable if you milk with different milkers. Data collection include milk yield, temperature and conductivity. Data can be viewed in attention lists and graphs . Apart from the data from the milking parlor, the farmer and veterinarian can also input data for the individual cows. Cows are defined by group and tag number. In parlor feeding can be applied per cow, per group or for the whole herd. For hygiene control, there is the wash data to check. The most important data in the wash program is the temperature. You can set a minimum temperature per milking unit. If the temperature is lower, the MPC wil produce a warning. This will guarantee proper cleaning of the whole system.
